If you decide to give Dragon a go, and find the dictation box popping up, there is a way to turn that off, so that you can dictate directly into Scrivener.Ĭannot remember exactly what that is right now, but it is a setting in Dragon itself. I have returned to using Dragon with Scrivener because it is more versatile. So, I am not hopeful that the Windows dictation will work well with Scrivener. I find that the Windows dictation started out all right (in Word), but after a couple of days it began to make the same mistakes, consistently (like Dragon, it must create a file which it goes back to 'read' to check for frequently dictated words, and like Dragon, it often gets those words wrong consistently).
